Topic for Discussion Meetings

"Founding Soka Gakkai president Tsunesaburo Makiguchi treasured Nichiren Daishonin's words: 'When the skies are clear, the ground is illuminated. Similarly, when one knows the Lotus Sutra, one understands the meaning of all worldly affairs.' (WND-1, p. 376) Referring to this passage, Mr Makiguchi once encouraged members in Kyushu, saying: 'The moment the sun rises, the world suddenly becomes bright. Similarly, through our Buddhist faith and practice, we can improve every aspect of life. The key is to bring the sun out and make the skies clear.'"
 - Daisaku Ikeda, NL8589; appears in Art of Living Oct 2012, p. 6

The above quote has been the inspiration for this month's discussion meeting topic:

'Improving aspects of our lives through our Buddhist faith and practice.'

The discussion meetings will take place on Wednesday 24th, 7pm at Rosie's, and Sunday 28th, 1pm at Elaine's. Please come along for what will hopefully be a lively and inspiring discussion and share your own experiences of how Buddhism has improved aspects of your life.
